The food on the Costa Blanca is at the centre of the Mediterranean diet. According to the area and season, the Costa Blanca is rich in fish, vegetables, olive oil, flour, rice and fruits.

The produce used is locally sourced from land and sea and very good quality.

In various areas traditions of food combine Celtic, Latin American, Greek, roman and Moroccan styles of cooking.

Taste typical dishes of these styles made by hand e.g. ice cream from Jijona, made from traditional “Turron” consisting of almonds.

Ingredients are used to prepare traditional dishes like paella and other various rice dishes typical of the region.

Although these are not the only goods of the cuisine of the area. A little inland and one can enjoy tasty dishes prepared with meat including lamb, rabbit with garlic and tomato and various other sliced meats.

Inhabitants of the Costa Blanca enjoy local wines of the province including the prestigious wines of Jalon.
