When everything is considered, October is one of the best months of the year to visit and travel around the Costa Blanca in Spain.

Temperatures are mild and pleasant throughout much of the country, a welcome relief to the high temperatures much of Spain experiences during summer.

As well as this, the Costa Blanca experiences relatively low numbers of visitors and plenty of fun events (COVID allowing) this means that it’s easier than ever to immerse yourself in the local culture, no matter where you travel. Prices can be lower during this time of year as well.

You really can’t go wrong with any destination in this beautifully diverse area in October.

Spain’s weather in October

What to Pack

If you do not already live here packing for Spain in October is relatively easy. Think in terms of clothing that can easily be layered—although temperatures are generally pleasant throughout the day, you may still need a jacket or a jumper in the mornings and evenings. Take in a sturdy pair of shoes, such as comfortable ankle boots, especially if you’ll be doing a lot of walking. Bring an umbrella with you if your itinerary. However, in the rare chance that it does rain, you can easily purchase one.
